# Disable Windows Defender

This is **only** required during the preparation and remote spoof session.\
After you reinstall Windows (After Spoof section), you should re-enable Windows Defender.

## Manual Method (Recommended first)

1. Press `Windows key` → open **Settings**
2. Go to **Privacy & security** → **Windows Security** → **Virus & threat protection**
3. Under **Virus & threat protection settings**, click **Manage settings**
4. Turn **Off**:
   * Real-time protection
   * Cloud-delivered protection
   * Automatic sample submission
   * Tamper Protection (this one is important)

## Using dControl (if needed)

If Tamper Protection or Real-time protection refuses to stay off, use dControl:

1. Download and extract **dControl.zip**
2. Run `dControl.exe` as Administrator
3. Click **Disable Windows Defender**
4. Confirm Defender is fully off
